Terms of Service (Model Template)

Effective Date: [EFFECTIVE_DATE]

These Terms of Service govern your access to and use of MeasureOnce, operated by [LEGAL_COMPANY_NAME] ("Company", "we", "us"), a company established under the laws of [COMPANY_COUNTRY] with registered office at [COMPANY_ADDRESS]. By signing into or purchasing plans on MeasureOnce, you agree to these Terms.

1. Single-User License & Digital Nature of Products

MeasureOnce plans are proprietary digital assets consisting of interactive cut lists, parametric calculation algorithms, 3D interactive models, and workshop guides.

Upon valid purchase or entitlement grant, you are granted a non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license for personal, non-commercial woodworking construction. Redistribution, resale, or sublicensing of raw project files, formulas, or diagrams is strictly prohibited.

2. Device Limit and Fair Use Policy

To safeguard proprietary craftsmanship data, account sessions are strictly limited to a maximum of three (3) active devices simultaneously.

Once a registered device is removed from your account, a mandatory 30-day security cooldown is enforced before another device replacement slot becomes available.

3. Waiver of 14-Day Right of Withdrawal for Digital Content

Under European Union (Directive 2011/83/EU) and United Kingdom consumer protection regulations, digital content made available immediately upon checkout is exempt from the standard 14-day cooling-off period.

By checking the withdrawal waiver checkbox during Stripe checkout and proceeding with payment, you explicitly consent to the immediate performance of the digital contract and acknowledge the complete forfeiture of statutory cancellation and refund rights once digital access is provisioned.

4. Workshop Safety & Tool Operating Disclaimer

Woodworking tools—including but not limited to table saws, miter saws, routers, planer blades, and jointers—carry inherent physical risks of severe personal injury.

MeasureOnce plans, formulas, and dimension conversions are provided as educational and planning aids only. You are solely responsible for ensuring the structural stability of materials, maintaining blade guards and push sticks, using appropriate personal protective equipment (eye, ear, and respiratory protection), and adhering strictly to the operating manuals of your specific machinery.

Neither [LEGAL_COMPANY_NAME] nor its designers shall be held liable for any workshop accidents, bodily injury, equipment breakdown, or material waste incurred during construction.

5. Governing Law and Jurisdiction

These Terms shall be interpreted and governed by the laws of [COMPANY_COUNTRY], without regard to conflict of law principles. Any dispute arising out of or related to these Terms shall be submitted to the exclusive jurisdiction of the competent courts of [GOVERNING_LAW_COURT].
